The ABB PU515A 3BSE032401R1 is a PCI-based communication accelerator board engineered for ABB Advant OCS systems utilizing MasterBus 300 (MB300) and MOD eDCN networks. Combining a dedicated processor, onboard memory, and dual-channel communication circuitry, the module provides deterministic real-time communication between industrial workstations and ABB controllers while reducing processor workload on the host computer.
Designed for engineering stations and operator consoles, the PU515A supports reliable high-speed data exchange within Advant process automation systems. Its proven architecture has made it a widely used spare part for maintaining legacy ABB DCS installations where dependable MB300 communication remains essential. ABB notes that the PU515A is not supported in newer 800xA for Advant Master 6.0 systems, where it has been replaced by the PU410.
